God wants to talk. Are you willing to listen?
Daily, many wonder how can one trust a God that cannot be seen? How can one have faith and pray to a being that has not worked miracles or answered prayers upon their request? My question to them is: how can they not? In order to receive anything in life, one should be prescient and willing. Bottom line, when it comes to God that same rule applies. If you are ready to dig deeper into your relationship and have a one-on-one conversation with the Creator, check out the tips below:
REFRESH and Clear Your Mind
It is essential that you release your mind from all things that do not pertain to God . Center your focus on Him. Be sure to detach yourself from ALL distractions (i.e. people, cell phones, tablets, computers) and prepare your heart to receive a sure Word from Heaven.
He will keep you in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on Him- Isaiah 26:3
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
Tell Him ALL About It
Cry out to God and tell Him ALL that is on your heart. Inform Him of your struggles, heartaches, worries and fears. Let Him know how you really feel about your new boyfriend or girlfriend. Provide Him with the inside scoop of your deepest darkest secrets. Hold nothing back. For He is aware of all that you are willing to share with Him, He wants you take off the mask and be open with Him. Find a quiet, empty room in your home or walk down a secluded trail in your neighborhood to complete this task.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.- Matthew 11:28
Be Still and Listen
After you have informed God of everything, sit back and listen. He speaks to us all differently. However, one way for sure you will receive a message from God is through His Word. So, after going on that walk or having a moment with God in your prayer room, take out a sheet of paper and prepare to write what He will reveal to you. During this process, think spiritually and do not rely on the feelings of flesh. Have faith and surely He will speak.
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.- Jeremiah 33:3
