Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.- Psalms 50:15
What words or phrases stick out to you the most in the scripture above? For me, the words “Call” and “Me” hit the spot.
Let’s admit it, when down and out, aggravated or upset instead of our Bibles we usually pick up the phone to call our best friend, boo thang or close cousin to vent. However, when we call they usually do not answer the phone. It’s not they are ignoring us, they are simply not by their phone.
Nevertheless, God is and He wants us to give Him a call. [Are you not aware of how to hear from Him? Do not worry we have you covered right here! ]
By simply casing your cares, worries and burdens to God, He promises to deliver you and set you free. So, the next time you are upset take a moment and talk to God. Share with Him your current situation whether it be a job lost, bad break up, sickness or stress, He is all open arms and He wants to hear from you.
Once you let Him know what is bothering you, take some time and listen to what He has to say. You will be surprised of the revelation He shares with you.
Last but not least, be sure to give God praise once you finish talking to Him. He has taken you out of your misery and you are now filled with joy.
It might take a moment to let God in on what He is already aware of, but He truly wants to hear about your situation from you. And in return in Psalms 50:23 He promises to bless and take you out of the current situation you are in.
